Nick Scott: The Wheelchair Bodybuilder

Nick ‘The Beast’ Scott is the foremost promoter of wheelchair body building. In August of 1998 Nick was involved in a freak road accident that left him with a broken back and a damaged spine, requiring titanium rods to be vertically bolted to his spine. Diagnosed as paraplegic, Nick was told he would never walk again.

As an impoverished child, Sudarsan Pattnaik would go to his local beach and build sand castles. Little did the youngster from Orrisa, India, realise his hobby would make him famous and wealthy. These pictures show some of the sand sculptures carved by Pattnaik.

A Lifesaving Billboard by Aircel

This Aircel billboard literally helped save people from disaster! When the monsoon rains hit in Mumbai, a group of fast-thinkers grabbed hold of the dinghy mounted on the Aircel billboard. The text on the billboard read, “In case of emergency, cut rope,” which is exactly what they did. Source: aircel
